After all the reports, Colin Cowherd sat down on Wednesday and indeed confirmed that his time at ESPN is coming to an end
One of the big stories from sports in the past week really had nothing to do with anything that takes place on a field or court, rather it was about radio host Colin Cowherd ending his long tenure with ESPN soon. News broke last week that the controversial personality would be taking his talents elsewhere, and now we have confirmation.
Cowherd wasn’t around the first two days of the week to address anything, but on Wednesday to open his show he addressed the proverbial elephant in the room. He did in fact say that he’s leaving the “Worldwide Leader,” and he did also go out of his way to say that there’s no bad blood between the two sides, he just wants to open up another challenge for himself.
You can watch the segment addressing his departure here:
While we all knew in the back of our minds that there was validity to the reports, we wouldn’t be completely sure until we heard it from the man himself. On Wednesday morning, we got that final piece of validation that we needed.
Now, we just sit back and see what’s next for one of the more controversial radio hosts in the country.
