Gold Cup 2015: Jamaica takes 2-0 lead in first half vs USMNT (Video)

Jamaica was able to strike first on the USMNT Wednesday night in the CONCACAF Gold Cup semi-final game
The CONCACAF Gold Cup semi-final contest between the USMNT and Jamaica is underway in Atlanta on Wednesday night, and needless to say the United States has not gotten off to the start they wanted. Coming off a dominating effort against Cuba on Saturday, some expected maybe that momentum carrying over.
Well, Jamaica had other things on their minds Wednesday, getting the upper hand in the first half against the United States team in a pretty big way.
Things were pretty much at a stalemate for the first 35 minutes of the match, until Jamaica decided to start taking charge over the U.S.
First, it was Darron Mattocks with the header right past Brad Guzan:
Not much longer after the United States was stunned and that momentum from Cuba was coming down, the Jamaicans struck again, this time it was Giles Barnes off the free kick to really drive the point home.
So, yeah, things aren’t quite going the way they were on Saturday for the USMNT and now they have a pretty big hole to dig themselves out of going forward with what’s left in the first half, and in the second half.
