Overview

No team is more excited to get the season started than the Green Bay Packers. The last time Green Bay was on a football field in an important moment, it was walking out of CenturyLink Field devastated after collapsing in the final five minutes and overtime of the NFC Championship Game. The Packers should have won, yet uncharacteristically found a way to lose.

In the offseason, the Packers did what they always do. Nothing. They made sure to keep right tackle Bryan Bulaga and receiver Randall Cobb while staying away from the free agency frenzy. With Aaron Rodgers leading the way, Green Bay is primed to make another run at the NFC North title and perhaps some more coveted hardware.

Major Battle

The defensive line is in flux, perhaps the only place on the team where questions remain. The Packers are getting nose tackle B.J. Raji back after seeing him go down for the season last year, but is he the same player of a few years ago? There will also be competition on the ends of this 3-4 scheme with Mike Daniels, Datone Jones, Josh Boyd and Letroy Guion battling for playing time.

Expectations

It’s Super Bowl or bust. The Packers should have gone to the Super Bowl last year and would have stood a great chance of winning. Instead, Green Bay fell apart and lost in devastating fashion to Seattle. This year, Rodgers and the crew are the most talented team in football. The Packers have to win, or it will be considered a failure in Titletown.
