Kevin Owens is one of the hottest things going in WWE since moving to the main roster at the end of May. His debut feud with John Cena produce three classic matches, even if the finish in the third installment left fans angry. Now it’s time to see what the company has next for Owens as he and Cena have both moved on.

If you ask Owens who he’d like to feud with, he has his heights set high. In an interview with talkSPORT’s Gorilla Position podcast, Owens stated that if he could face anyone, it would be the Beast Incarnate, Brock Lesnar. Here’s what Owens had to say in the interview on Lesnar:

"“I think there’s only one answer for me right now, and it is Brock Lesnar. I think a lot of people want to see it.”“I was there the night he made his debut on Raw for WWE. I was in the crowd, like the fifth row. I remember being blown away immediately by this guy, I was on board right away. I bought Brock Lesnar T-shirts and Brock Lesnar hats. My parents got a dog that summer, I named him Brock. Seriously, he was a blonde Lab, he was huge: ‘That’s Brock!’ I used to do the F5 when I was on the indies because of how much I admire him so I’d love to be the one to put an end to him.”"

That last line is one of the reasons that Owens is admired for his work as a heel. He can take a full paragraph of complimentary speech and turn it into a heelish jab, even if it’s just in a random podcast episode.

Owens is correct in that a lot of people want to see him and Lesnar face off in WWE, even if fans never realized it before. The wrestling between the two big men would be undoubtedly amazing, but even better would be the duels on the microphone between Owens and the advocate Paul Heyman. Two of the best wrestlers going at it in the squared circle and two of the best talkers going at it on the mic is something that essentially sells itself.

As Lesnar is currently entrenched in a feud with Undertaker and Owens is finishing up his NXT commitments, we aren’t getting Owens’ dream match any time soon. Now that it’s out in the open, though, let’s try to make it happen as soon as possible.
