We have another season-ending NFL training camp injury
By Josh Hill
The Denver Broncos are off to a rough start in 2015 and the preseason hasn’t even begun yet.
Each year, when NFL teams return from their offseason break and begin to forge a path they hope leads them to the Super Bowl, there is always the threat of injury to be concerned about. No matter which team it is or who the players are, someone always gets injured.
It’s just a fact of life, which is unavoidable and typically devastating.
The Denver Broncos are experiencing that right now, as they’ve lost wide receiver Kyle Williams for the entire season — before it could even get close to starting.
Williams made the announcement official on his Instagram account:

You’ll probably remember Williams for one of two reasons. He’s the son of Chicago White Sox general manager Kenny Williams but also fumbled away a chance for the San Francisco 49ers to make it to the Super Bowl in 2012.
Williams hasn’t really been defined by much else in his career, and he’s not going to get a chance to change that in 2015. It’s always brutal to see players get hurt in training camp no matter where they are on the depth chart.
It’s like pooping your pants as soon as you step foot on the school bus the first day. You don’t stand a chance and the bus hasn’t even left the block. Denver has other receiving threats, but losing any of them in Peyton Manning’s advanced age is going to make it tougher on the quarterback than it already has to be.
If there’s one thing Manning likes, it’s an array of targets. Williams looked like he might be in for a bounce back year that finally puts him on the map more. That won’t be happening, and it’s a shame it happened so early on in camp.
