The NBA season is long over, and weāre still a while from training camps getting underway, so it seems like a good time for some NBA players to take some much needed vacations. Luckily for them, weāre here to give them a few suggestions on where they should go to relax and refresh their minds and bodies for next season.
6. Amare Stoudemire should go to the Finger Lakes

Amare Stoudemire likes wine. Sometimes to drink. Sometimes to soak in. It only makes sense that the big fella would build a summer vacation around wine.
Everyone knows Californiaās Napa Valley as the cradle of the United Statesā wine production. But The Finger Lakes region in Central New York are quietly one of the most beautiful and seductive wine-producing regions in the country. The lakes are long, glacially carved and, as the name implies, resemble fingers when viewed from the sky. The large bodies of water have a warming effect on the surrounding landscape, keeping grapevines from freezing in the vineyards that dot the hillsides. The region is known for several varietals, but particularly crisp Chardonnays and fruity Rieslings.
A Vacation Rental By Owner, like this one, would be just the place to let Stoudemire rest and relax with as many guests as heād like. Affordable, with spectacular views, the house also has four bathroomsāthree with full bathtubs and one with a hot tub. That means plenty of opportunities to sample wines all day and then bring home a few cases to soak in at night. If heād like to take a break from the vino, The Finger Lakes Region provides ample opportunities for swimming, sailing and first-class antiquing.
Itās not a tropical beach getaway and there are no splashy nightclubs. But if Stoudemire wants to relax and unwind amid the East Coastās best wineries, there is no better place to spend a few weeks this summer.
