28. Anaheim

Sure we could’ve lumped Anaheim in with Los Angeles, but they have a sporting pedigree all of their own. First, they are home to two major sports franchises, just like Milwaukee and we didn’t lump them in with Chicago.

The Angels (MLB) and Ducks (NHL) each call Anaheim home and each have been pretty successful. The Angels have shown they’re not afraid to spend if it means contending in the American League, they won the World Series in 2002 and six division titles since. Heck, they even lured Albert Pujols away from St. Louis which says a lot about the Angels’ culture.

Then they have everyone’s favorite Disney inspired franchise, the Ducks, formerly the Mighty Ducks. They’ve won two conference titles (2003 and 2007) and a Stanley Cup in 2007. They’ve also won their division the last three seasons.

That’s a lot of winning in Anaheim.
