Welcome back to the best place to get fantasy sports advice across multiple sports. Today I am going to give you my best picks and choices for your FanDuel lineups that I can. My advice is based purely on mathematical and statistical analysis and I try to avoid using player biases and so forth.
NOTE: these FanDuel picks are based solely on statistics. Some players have never faced their opponents, or have very little experience against them. I am not saying that none of those are good picks. This is based on statistical analysis only. If you have a gut feeling, then by all means, follow that. This is not an exact science.
Here are my FanDuel picks for August 4:
Next: FanDuel Pitcher Options
Jul 30, 2015; Milwaukee, WI, USA; Milwaukee Brewers pitcher Jimmy Nelson (52) pitches in the first inning against the Chicago Cubs at Miller Park. Mandatory Credit: Benny Sieu-USA TODAY Sports
FanDuel Pitcher Options:
Jimmy Nelson, Brewers ($7,600): Jimmy Nelson continues to be a solid fantasy option for daily leagues. He has been very consistent and scored around 15 fantasy points per game over the last three to five games. He makes a lot of sense when you look at the production of some of the top money guys who are available.
Patrick Corbin, Diamondbacks ($7,000): Corbin is a bit more risky, but with a $600 savings that can be tacked on to some offense he could pay off. His pitching has been solid over his last two starts and he could be heating up. I like using some of the cheaper guys for today’s games as some of the expensive options for today have been a little bit off of their game.
Next: FanDuel Infield Hitter Options
Aug 3, 2015; Arlington, TX, USA; Texas Rangers third baseman Adrian Beltre (29) runs away from an ice cooler bath by second baseman Rougned Odor and starting pitcher Martin Perez (33) after the game against the Houston Astros at Globe Life Park in Arlington. Edwin Encarnacion, Blue Jays ($4,500); Encarnacion is a little bit on the expensive side, but I feel like he is well worth it. He is facing Phil Hughes today and he has a pretty good career average against him. He has gone 14/40 for a .350 average, a home run and six RBI.
Adrian Beltre, Rangers ($3,300): Beltre has been decent lately. He he also has a decent match-up against Dan Straily. He has had pretty good success with a .353 average and two RBI. He also is available for a good price and gives us some pretty solid power upside.
Next: FanDuel Outfield Hitter Options
Aug 1, 2015; Philadelphia, PA, USA; Atlanta Braves right fielder Nick Markakis (22) celebrates with teammates in the dugout after hitting a home run during the first inning against the Philadelphia Phillies at Citizens Bank Park. Mandatory Credit: Bill Streicher-USA TODAY Sports
Outfield Hitter Options:
Marlon Byrd, Reds ($3,000): I was actually kind of surprised that Byrd has not gone up to the mid-three thousands. I have not had the time to play FanDuel in a few days with a busy schedule and so I was pleased to find him still at this price. He is playing very well lately and has a favorable match-up with John Lackey. Lifetime against Lackey he has a .313 average with two home runs and eight RBI.
Nick Markakis, Braves (2,900): Markakis is in the midst of a little ten game hitting streak and playing pretty well. He also has a favorable match-up with Jake Peavey. With Peavey he has a .333 average with a home run, two RBI and a stolen base.
As always we thank you for stopping by and wish you FanDuelers the best of luck!
