Redskins wide receiver DeSean Jackson had a little trouble getting past the blocking sled at practice on Thursday
Washington Redskins wide receiver DeSean Jackson is one of the cockiest players in not just the NFL, but in all of sports. As we were reminded recently, he’s of the belief that no one in the NFL can stop him, a sentiment that he has shared time and time again.
When he’s saying things such as this, though, he should really include blocking sleds as an exception. Because, as we found out on Thursday, they can certainly slow the speedster down.
During drills on Thursday, Jackson was going through his pass-catching routine when the blocking sled brought him to a halt, subsequently injuring his shoulder.
DeSean Jackson hit a sled finishing a route earlier in camp... came out of tent in Tshirt with ice bag on shoulder. On sideline now

Of course, after this took place, the team said that they would have an update on Jackson’s injury in the near future.
DeSean Jackson (shoulder) did not speak to reporters as he left field after practice. Team says there will be an update later.

Hopefully, for the Redskins’ sake, Jackson didn’t injure the shoulder too badly.
But, yeah, we learned that he can indeed be slowed down by at least one presence on the football field.
