Tevin Coleman-Atlanta Falcons

Another running back entering a time share of some kind is Tevin Coleman who the Falcons took in the third round out of Indiana.  Coleman and last year’s rookie Devonta Freeman are expected to battle for the starting position now that Steven Jackson is out of the picture for Atlanta.

Coleman isn’t helping his cause with a hamstring injury that is causing him to miss some practice time, but he could still earn touches as the season progresses.  Atlanta is putting in a new offense this year under Coach Dan Quinn who joined the Falcons after years of running the defense opposite “Beast Mode” in Seattle.

The Falcons running back situation is definitely one to watch since either Freeman or Coleman could be RB2 material as the season goes on. However, at this point, it’s more likely that they divide carries and steal value from each other with Freeman earning RB3 or flex consideration and Coleman on the fringes of fantasy football RB usability.
