A look at the updated card for the upcoming WWE SummerSlam show taking place later this month

In just a few short weeks here in the month of August, we will get one of the premier wrestling shows of the year as WWE SummerSlam will take place. This year the annual event is moving out of Los Angeles for the first time in a long time and will take place from the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York.

While still a few weeks away, the match card is already starting to take a pretty good shape for this now four-hour happening. Here’s a look at what we have on tap so far for SummerSlam.

– Brock Lesnar vs. The Undertaker

Champion vs. Champion, Winner Takes All
– WWE Champion Seth Rollins vs. US Champion John Cena

Triple Threat for the  Intercontinental Championship
– The Miz vs. Big Show vs. Ryback

– Bray Wyatt and Luke Harper vs. Roman Reigns and Dean Ambrose

Of course, the Rollins vs Cena match is not yet “official,” with Rollins just issuing the challenge this past Monday. However, this is John Cena we’re talking about, so you can bet the house that he’ll be in attendance this Monday –broken nose and all– to tell Rollins that he will face him in a few Sundays.

What might be the most intriguing out of all this is the tag match with Wyatt and Harper taking on Reigns and Ambrose. We can all remember those amazing Wyatt Family vs The Shield bouts from a couple years ago, and while each group is missing a member here, it should still be a potential show stealer.

Then, of course, we have that Intercontinental title match. What to watch for there is just how healthy Ryback is after suffering that staph infection recently. The Big Guy was picking up some steam as the IC champ, so hopefully he can get back on the track he was on.

But, so far, that’s what we have officially announced. With the show being four hours this year, there’s still a lot more to come.
