FanDuel Picks For August 10

More from DFS

Welcome back to the best place to get fantasy sports advice across multiple sports. Today I am going to give you my best picks and choices for your FanDuel lineups that I can. My advice is based purely on mathematical and statistical analysis and I try to avoid using player biases and so forth.

NOTE: these FanDuel picks are based solely on statistics. Some players have never faced their opponents, or have very little experience against them. I am not saying that none of those are good picks. This is based on statistical analysis only. If you have a gut feeling, then by all means, follow that. This is not an exact science.

Here are my FanDuel picks for August 10:

Next: FanDuel Pitcher Options

Aug 4, 2015; Miami, FL, USA; New York Mets starting pitcher Jonathon Niese (49) delivers a pitch against the Miami Marlins during the first inning at Marlins Park. Mandatory Credit: Steve Mitchell-USA TODAY Sports

Pitcher Options:

Jon Niese, Mets ($7,800): With only seven games to choose from with this slate of games on August 10th I really like Niese as a good option. He will most likely score as many fantasy points as the top money guys and has enough upside to think he could be even better than the 10-12 points that you would normally expect. He is not really cheap, but at the same time you are not paying too much either.

David Holmberg, Reds ($5,300): NOTE:*This pick is a gambler’s special*. This is a pick that I think could go either way, you could look like a genius or I could look like a crazy person for suggesting him to you. With this price though, it saves you enough money for your  payroll to draft more than enough offense to make up the difference. As long as Holmberg pulls out six or seven fantasy points then you are going to be okay, but if he goes negative we are in trouble.

Next: FanDuel Infield Hitter Options

Jul 27, 2015; St. Louis, MO, USA; Cincinnati Reds first baseman Joey Votto (19) hits a double against the St. Louis Cardinals at Busch Stadium. Mandatory Credit: Jasen Vinlove-USA TODAY Sports

Infield Hitter Options:

Joey Votto, Reds ($3,700): Votto has cooled off a little bit lately, but he is still swinging a pretty hot bat. He makes for a pretty good option in this short set of games as this is a decent price and he has a good track record against Ian Kennedy with a .417 average. He should be good for a few hits and hopefully an RBI or two.

Jimmy Rollins, Dodgers ($2,900): Rollins has awaken some since the All-Star break and is on a nice little tear. He should be a good option and is available for a good price. He has been hitting safely inmost of his games and has several multi-hit games lately. Go ahead and get him active and use your savings on the big name bats.

Next: FanDuel Outfeld Hitter Options

Aug 9, 2015; Phoenix, AZ, USA; Cincinnati Reds left fielder Marlon Byrd (9) hits a pitch against the Arizona Diamondbacks during the sixth inning at Chase Field. Mandatory Credit: Joe Camporeale-USA TODAY Sports

  • Marlon Byrd: Reds ($2,900): I really like using Marlon Byrd lately. He is at a great option and I am still mildly surprised that he is so cheap here. He has a good career mark against Ian Kennedy having gone .278 with two home runs and seven RBI. This will also be a good place to save and spend money on the big name bats for your lineup.

Odubel Herrera, Phillies ($3,100): Herrera is in the midst of a ten game hitting streak and swinging the bat very well. He comes to us at a nice price and should be a good option for us in the games on the 10th. Get him active in your lineup.

As always we thank you for stopping by and wish you FanDuelers the best of luck!
