Joey Logano picked up his second win of the season by winning the Cheez-It 355. Here is the complete finishing order for the race at Watkins Glen International.
Joey Logano finally got his second win. After several weeks of finishing second, and seeing a win last week slip through his fingers, he took advantage this week as he watched Kyle Busch finish behind and Kevin Harvick have a win slip through his fingers.
Now, he has gotten that win that has been eluding him all summer and he can feel good about himself as heads into “The Chase” aiming to win his first Sprint Cup Championship. Logano and Busch outdid the leaders, by playing the pit strategy and had fuel at the end where others, like Harvick, did not.
For other track favorites, like Jeff Gordon and Tony Stewart, it was not a good day for either of the two drivers that have won at the track more times than any other driver. Gordon had issues with his brake line and finished 41st, while Stewart finished dead last and 43rd.
At the end of the day, Logano proved to be the road warrior and came away with the win after 90 laps of treacherous terrain. Here is the complete finishing order for Sunday’s race.
