Kyle Busch is finally in the top-30 after finishing second at the Cheez-It 355 on Sunday. Here are the 2015 NASCAR Sprint Cup Standings after Watkins Glen.

It was only a matter of time before Kyle Busch jumped into the top-30 in points. At one point, the odds of Busch getting into “The Chase” seemed like long odds after he missed a majority of the early part of the season, and had two wrecks in races after he came back.

Instead, Busch would go out and win four out of five races, and suddenly he’s not only being talked about as getting into “The Chase,” but instead as one of the top contenders to win the whole thing. Last week at Pocono, he could have gotten in, but he ran out of gas.

This week, he was smart and saved fuel. To go with his troubles, he picked up a second-place finish, and now Busch can squarely focus on competing for a Sprint Cup Championship. For the rest of the drivers, on the bubble, there is one last spot, and suddenly it’s looking very dicey for anyone trying to get in on points, like Kasey Kahne or Clint Bowyer.

If another driver wins that hasn’t won yet, that will be even one less spot in. It’s starting to tighten up in the Sprint Cup Standings. With Busch finally in, here are the updated Sprint Cup Standings after Watkins Glen.
