3. Buffalo Bills

When you talk about great defense in the NFL, the name Rex Ryan always comes to mind. Ryan is far from a great NFL head coach, but he has proven to be one of the brightest minds in the game when it turns to defense, gleaning that talent from his father, the famous Buddy Ryan and architect of the “46” defense. In Buffalo, expect devastating things.

Ryan has an incredible front on his hands with Jerry Hughes, Mario Williams, Marcell Dareus and Kyle Williams. The only question is how this group will react when it goes from a 4-3 to a 3-4 under Ryan. Hughes and Mario Williams now have to play standing up instead of having a hand in the dirt, while Kyle Williams and Dareus kick to the outside edge instead of playing inside.

In the secondary, Buffalo has plenty of athleticism. Stephon Gilmore and Leodis McKelvin are a pair of former first-round picks who can play on an island, giving Ryan even more latitude to do whatever he wants with different blitz packages from all angles. Ryan will be relentless on third down, bringing corners and safeties at will.
