25. San Diego Chargers

The Chargers have some high expectations heading into 2015 after upgrading the offense with both rookie running back Melvin Gordon and left guard Orlando Franklin. Yet, the defense still has some issues to sort out, especially in the front seven. San Diego was surprisingly quiet throughout free agency, with general manager Tom Telesco deciding to lay low.

San Diego is hoping to get back to the playoffs after missing out in 2014, but needs to get some better production from the outside linebackers. The main hope lies in Melvin Ingram, who registered four sacks in as many games but dealt with a nasty hip injury. Ingram, a former first-round pick, needs to be a force against the pass, with the Chargers not having other options.

The secondary is adequate with Brandon Flowers, Eric Weddle and Jason Verrett, but opponents will have time to throw and ample running room. Corey Liuget is one of the better 3-4 defensive ends in the league, but the rest of the line is terrible with Kendall Reyes and Sean Lissemore up front. Donald Butler and Manti Te’o also have plenty to prove at inside linebacker. This is a defense with too many holes to be consistent.
