Philadelphia Eagles fans are seeking the help of Pope Francis to make sure that Sam Bradford stays healthy this year
Should everything go according to plan, Sam Bradford will be the starting quarterback for the Philadelphia Eagles fans when the season starts in about a month. You say “according to plan” because of the fact that Bradford has not exactly been the picture of health the past few seasons for the Rams, suffering severe knee injuries.
Well, Eagles fans think they have the ultimate solution for this. They’re turning to religion and they’re going right to the top of the food chain.
At the end of September. Pope Francis will actually be visiting the City of Brotherly Love. With this being the case, Eagles fans have actually started a petition to get Pope Francis to bless the knees of Bradford so he can finally play an entire season.
"The Pope is coming to Philly! Our city! With this Eagles season coming up, a lot of our Super Bowl hopes rely on Sam Bradford’s knees staying healthy. So, with one of the most religious representatives in the world visiting our wonderful place we call home, how about we get him to bless Bradford’s knees during his visit to Philly!"
OK, now before people go off on Eagles fans like they normally do, this is actually kinda funny. They literally did go straight to the top of the Catholic food chain, short of actually trying to go to heaven to speak to Jesus himself.
Chances of Pope Francis actually doing this are pretty slim, but you at least have to admire their passion on this one.
