NBA rookies played basketball charades, pulling players’ names out of a hat an imitating them hilariously

The end of summer is a strange time for rookies in the NBA. While they are getting acclimated with their team and working out, Summer League is over and preseason seems way off in the distance. Aside from photoshoots and things of that nature, it’s pretty ho-hum for rookies.

However, the fine people at SB Nation spiced up the scene for the incoming rookie class by essentially playing NBA charades. Various rookies picked NBA players’ names out of a hat and were asked to imitate that player on the court. The results were incredible:

I could watch Frank Kaminsky impersonate LeBron James for the rest of my life.

Other highlights from the little game include everyone who mimicked James Harden, Kristaps Porzingis fading back a solid 15 feet while imitating Dirk Nowitzki, and D’Angelo Russell imitating his new teammate in Kobe Bryant. I’m sure Kobe won’t have anything to say about that the next time he and Russell are on the floor together.

This has less than nothing to do with how these rookies will look when they actually get on the court for NBA action. However, it’s nice to see these young guys staying loose as they embark into the world of professional sports. That’s good for them and the comedy is good for everyone else.
