The Washington Nationals and Los Angeles Dodgers series is the one to watch this week.

Every week the folks at Sports Illustrated and ScoreBig get together to pick out the must watch series of the week in Major League Baseball. This week, if you’re going to watch one series make sure its the match up between Washington Nationals and Los Angeles Dodgers.

The rest of the must-see series to watch in MLB are as follows:

  • Pirates vs. Cardinals, Aug. 11–13
  • Cubs vs. White Sox, Aug. 14–16
  • Angels vs. Royals, Aug. 13–16
  • Rays vs. Rangers, Aug. 14–16

The series between the Pittsburgh Pirates and the St. Louis Cardinals could be another one you can’t afford to not watch for one reason, the pitchers duel between Gerrit Cole vs. Michael Wacha on Wednesday night.

The Pirates’ Cole leads the National League in wins with 14, Michael Wacha is right behind him with 13. Both have an ERA below three.

Coming into the game Wacha could have the hotter arm, having blanked the Cincinnati Reds over seven innings in his last start.

Cole and Wacha are both under 25 years old and look poised to have dominant careers and could be facing each other on big stages to come, hopefully some day in a National League Championship Series.
