Nick ‘Swaggy P’ Young was on Lip Sync Battle and performed a classic 80s power ballad
Nick Young, known to many simply as Swaggy P, is one of the best characters in the NBA. Whether he’s prematurely celebrating three-pointers or proclaiming that his right arm doesn’t have tattoos because it’s strictly for getting buckets, Swaggy P oozes entertainment on and off the court.
His latest venture into entertainment aside from the hardwood came as he was a contestant on Spike’s Lip Sync Battle. Young went with a classic, choosing to perform Whitesnake’s classic power ballad, “Here I Go Again.” His performance (or the clip seen here) doesn’t disappoint:
From the looks of it, Swaggy P’s swag isn’t limited to a specific decade because he’s a hurricane of 80s swag in that clip. The headband, the unbuttoned shirt with nothing underneath, and the dropping to the knees are basically everything you need to deliver a perfect performance of a Whitesnake song.
Interestingly enough, Young’s opponent on the show is his fiancé and hip-hop artist, Iggy Azalea. No word on how her performance went, but it’s going to be hard to top what Swaggy P put down, even for the future Mrs. P.
