Running down the 2015-16 schedule for the Golden State Warriors.

It was all sunshine and rainbows for the Golden State Warriors last season. Among the team’s accolades were the league’sĀ best regular-season record, an MVP award for Stephen Curry and, oh yeah, an NBA championship and the Larry O’Brien Trophy.

After a successful 2013-14 season flamed out in a first-round, seven-game defeat to the Los Angeles Clippers, management and then-coach Mark Jackson had a falling out. The team axed Jackson and brought in Steve Kerr, who ended up being the third heat. Kerr made tweaks in the lineup, such as bringing Andre Iguodala off the bench for the first time in his 11-year career, to push the Warriors over the top.

It also helped that Curry was on another planet for the season’s entirety. For the second time in his career, Curry set a record for three-pointers in a season. Paired alongside fellow Splash Brother Klay Thompson, the backcourt mates were nearly unstoppable (especially at home, where the team lost only twice in the regular season). With a roster filled out by role players, such as Harrison Barnes and Draymond Green, coming into their own it was a rush to watch Golden State night-in, night-out.

The WarriorsĀ didn’t undergo many changes in the offseason, which makes them the unquestionable favorites heading into the 2015-16 season.
