Running down the Washington Wizards’ NBA schedule for 2015-16.

Following a solid run in the NBA Playoffs, the Washington Wizards will look to continue their ascent in the NBA’s Eastern Conference come the 2015-16 season.

The Wizards boast one of the best backcourts in all of basketball, with the talented duo of Bradley Beal and John Wall. After being hampered by injuries in his first three years, Wall has transformed into a top-flight point guard over the past two seasons and is finally starting to harness his wealth of potential. He’s made consecutive All-Star teams, and even earned a spot on the NBA’s 2015 All-Defensive Second Team.

As a perfect compliment, Beal has raised his shooting and three point percentages every season. He’s also coming off a year with career highs in rebounds and steals per game.

The Wizards pushed as far as the Eastern Conference semifinals last season, where they took the regular season conference champion Atlanta Hawks to six games. Alas, despite some exciting heroics by the now-departed Paul Pierce, Washington couldn’t overcome the deeper team.

Spinning forward to 2015-16, Washington possesses the talent to stir the pot a little more. Outside of Cleveland, there is no dominant powerhouse in the East. It’s not outside the realm of possibility that with a few breaks and one savvy roster move the Wizards could creep into the Conference Finals.
