FanDuel Picks For August 14

Welcome back to the best place to get fantasy sports advice across multiple sports. Today I am going to give you my best picks and choices for your FanDuel lineups that I can. My advice is based purely on mathematical and statistical analysis and I try to avoid using player biases and so forth.

NOTE: these FanDuel picks are based solely on statistics. Some players have never faced their opponents, or have very little experience against them. I am not saying that none of those are good picks. This is based on statistical analysis only. If you have a gut feeling, then by all means, follow that. This is not an exact science.

Here are my FanDuel picks for August 14:

Next: FanDuel Pitcher Options

Aug 8, 2015; San Diego, CA, USA; San Diego Padres starting pitcher Tyson Ross (38) pitches during the second inning against the Philadelphia Phillies at Petco Park. Mandatory Credit: Jake Roth-USA TODAY Sports

Pitcher Options:

Tyson Ross, Padres ($8,500): Ross has been very consistent over his last six starts. Over that span his lowest output has been 9.66 fantasy points while his highest has been 16.66. He has also averaged roughly 12.5 fantasy points per game over that span. This makes him a pretty safe bet to contribute to your daily fantasy baseball roster. Give him a go if you are not one to stomach tough match-ups

Ivan Nova, Yankees ($6,700): This is our riverboat gambler special. Nova has been up and down quite a bit recently and it is just a gut feeling that he is due for a nice performance. He is facing off with a tough Blue Jays team, but I expect him to be a decent fantasy contributor for teams on the 14th.

Next: FanDuel Infield Hitter Options

Aug 8, 2015; Detroit, MI, USA; Detroit Tigers designated hitter Victor Martinez (41) receives congratulations from second baseman Ian Kinsler (3) after hitting a two run home run in the seventh inning against the Boston Red Sox at Comerica Park. Mandatory Credit: Rick Osentoski-USA TODAY Sports

Infield Hitter Options:

Ian Kinsler, Tigers ($3,900): Kinsler is having a solid season and seems to be swinging the bat pretty well lately. He is facing off with Dallas Kuechel and has a pretty favorable match-up there. Over his career he has gone 6/19 with a home run and two RBI.

Kendrys Morales, Royals ($3,100): Despite being hit-less on the 11th and the 12th, Morales has been a pretty hot batter lately. He has an exceptional BVP stat for us for the games on the 14th. Morales is facing off with Jared Weaver who he owns an 8/12 mark with a home run and one RBI.

Next: FanDuel Outfield Hitter Options

Jul 31, 2015; St. Louis, MO, USA; St. Louis Cardinals right fielder Jason Heyward (22) hits a sacrifice fly to score St. Louis Cardinals second baseman Kolten Wong (not pictured) in the first inning at Busch Stadium. Mandatory Credit: Jasen Vinlove-USA TODAY Sports

Outfield Hitter Options:

Jason Heyward, Cardinals ($3,500): Heyward just continues to be a solid all-around player for the Cardinals. He also continues to be a great option for your daily fantasy baseball team. For the 12th he has a solid match-up with Tom Koehler and owns a .317 average with an RBI. Heyward is pretty hot and makes for a good addition to your roster.

Jacoby Ellsbury, Yankees ($3,000): Ellsbury has not been a terrific option for fantasy leagues this year. He has not been swinging the bat very well lately, but I am hoping that maybe this is the spark that he needs to get on track and finish the season strong. He has a decent match-up with David Price of whom he owns a .340 average in 53 at-bats with a home run, four RBI and five stolen bases.

As always we thank you for stopping by and wish you FanDuelers the best of luck!
