The Oakland Raiders host the St. Louis Rams on Friday night at O.co Coliseum in Oakland. The game will be the first preseason contest for both squads.

For Oakland, the top storyline is Derek Carr and Amari Cooper. Cooper has drawn a string of praises throughout the offseason, even being named the “next Tim Brown” by none other than legendary receiver Jerry Rice. How soon can these two get on the same page and get the Raiders back to just winning, baby?

For the Rams its a new(ish) look offense. St. Louis traded away Sam Bradford during the offseason and received Nick Foles in return. The Rams are hoping Foles can give them what Bradford couldn’t: numbers in the win column. First round pick Todd Gurley will sit out the contest, but the rest of St. Louis’ running back stable will be in play.

If you’re playing a drinking game for whenever “Los Angeles” is mentioned during this game, tread lightly, because you may not even see halftime. Both teams are strongly tied to the City of Angels, and with the product that’s likely to see the field, much of the conversation may shift to both franchise’s potential 2017 home.
