But if you want to show off retro NBA fashion, the Charlotte Hornets are the way to go. It isn’t just that the uniform is slick because of the vintage look, it was pretty big in the 90s when the team was hitting stride.</p> <p>It’s not the definitive uniform of the 90s, but it’s pretty close thanks to the team’s popularity at the time. Over the years it has grown into an even bigger appreciation for this look nowadays. The Hornets tried to replicate this look a little bit with their new uniforms while still trying to do something new, but they should have just gone back to this and called it a day. From the slick lettering to the multi-colored pinstripes, so much works for this uniform as both a piece of nostalgia as well as modern fashion. You could even consider it ahead of its time thanks to its bizarre colored pinstripes plastered against the equally rogue fashion of today’s NBA.</p> <p>There are uniforms with more iconic appeal in NBA history, but it’s hard to argue against the hipness factor to the retro Hornets uniforms.</p>.
