J.R. Smith staged an adorable wedding proposal (Video)

J.R. Smith used his adorable daughter to pop the question to his girlfriend this week, and it’s as cute as you’d imagine.

While J.R. Smith may not have a basketball team to call his own right now, he has someone to call his future wife. Smith posted a video to his Instagram account that showed him proposing to his girlfriend in the most adorable way he possibly could.

It’s also the most J.R. Smith way possible as well.

Smith used his daughter to help him pop the question, and the memory is one that takes us away from basketball for a moment and grounds us in J.R.’s world in a more real way.

J.R. Smith is one of the most interesting players in the NBA, even if he doesn’t have a team right now. The Cleveland Cavaliers are more than likely going to bring him back this summer at a price of their choosing, and J.R. is going to have no choice but to agree to that deal.

But that whole drama of uncertainty isn’t keeping him from living his life away from the court and keeping the J.R. vibes strong and positive. He may be unemployed at the moment, but at least J.R. is still able to keep his life away from basketball going, and he continues to be entertaining regardless of what he’s doing.

This is also a rarity that we need to cherish, as J.R. usually never lets anyone else take the shot for him.
