NFL 2015: Ranking the 32 offenses
28. St. Louis Rams
The St. Louis Rams have a serious defense, but the offense might cost them a shot at the playoffs. The Rams did make the trade for Nick Foles this offseason, acquiring a second-round pick in addition for Sam Bradford. Foles made the Pro Bowl in 2013 and led the Philadelphia Eagles to an NFC East title. However, Foles was middling last year before breaking his clavicle.
Foles will have considerably last weaponry with St. Louis waiting on rookie running back Todd Gurley to make a full recovery from a torn ACL. Gurley could be back early in the season but recent quotes from him make you believe it could be half the season. With Gurley on the shelf, Tre Mason will get the starting job. Mason must be good, because the receivers are not.
Brian Quick and Kenny Britt don’t scare anybody, leaving the passing game up to Foles and the tight ends. Lance Kendircks and Jared Cook are both quality players, but can they pick up chunk yardage? In a division with top defenses like the Seattle Seahawks and Arizona Cardinals, the Rams will struggle to consistently score points.
