Watch Tim Tebow make return to NFL (Video)
By Josh Hill
For the first time since 2013, we’re seeing Tim Tebow in action and fans across the NFL are polarized as usual.
The Philadelphia Eagles have done something that it took two years for an NFL team to do — give Tim Tebow what might be his last shot in the NFL. He couldn’t make it work with the rambunctious Rex Ryan and Bill Belichick wasn’t able to work him in despite being able to do that with just about anyone.
Chip Kelly thinks he can change that and signed Tebow this offseason to see if he can’t make it on the roster which has seen more turnover than most in the league. Kelly has cycled through players at a high rate, and he’s gone out one more than a few limbs with players he’s brought in.
So, in theory it’s not a huge surprise that Kelly brought in Tebow but just the fact that the former Gators quarterback continues to stick around is noteworthy.
On Sunday, Tebow made his triumphant return to the NFL during the Eagles preseason game against the Colts, and it was everything you expected it would be.
Tebow may not be destined for the Hall of Fame, but Chip Kelly has given him a career resurgence. The only question is how long will it last?
