New York Yankees pitcher C.C. Sabathia was held out of a brawl in Toronto in a video released by TMZ.

TMZ has a new video catching a professional athlete in a precarious situation in a post titled “Yankees’ CC Sabathia caught up in Toronto street brawl.” The scintillating title isn’t very reflective of the video however.

Yes, New York Yankees pitcher C.C. Sabathia was in the video and there was a brawl, but he wasn’t really involved. Sabathia is seen in the first few seconds of the clip arguing with some fans, who according to TMZ were heckling him by yelling “Go Blue Jays.” Sabathia is being held back by a friend and appears to get in a cab and exit the situation, then the video shows a brawl but not Sabathia and they highlight someone holding what appears to be Sabathia’s shoe.

It seems a little ridiculous to think that some people yelling “Go Blue Jays” in Toronto started a brawl not involving Sabathia, perhaps they were his friends. But Sabathia has to have had “Go Blue Jays” or other team names yelled at him countless times in his life, he is after all a professional athlete, so it would be hard to assume that got Sabathia that worked up.

But if alcohol was involved, who knows.

Anyways, watch the chaos below, via TMZ:
