7. Austin Jackson-OF-Seattle Mariners: The Mariners and Rangers are matched up in one of the few divisional games today as the Rangers try to hang in the race for the second wild card.  Tonight, they’ll send Cole Hamels to the mound as they look for their fifth win in a row.  One of the Mariners’ bats with a good history against Hamels is Austin Jackson who has gone 3-9 (.333) against him in the past with a double.

6. James Loney-1B-Tampa Bay Rays: Matching Jackson’s 3-9 (.333), James Loney and the Rays will take on southpaw Scott Kazmir tonight in Houston.  One of Loney’s three hits was a triple, and he’s an interesting valley play since he’s started the month hot going 14-42 (.357) with three doubles and a homer.

5. Adam Jones-OF-Baltimore Orioles: J.J. Hardy who started this list at #10 isn’t the only Oriole with good history against Sonny Gray.  Adam Jones joins his teammate on the list based on his 3-8 (.375) career mark against Gray with a homer and three RBI.

4. Brett Gardner-OF-New York Yankees: After a big weekend in Toronto saw the Yankees take two of three from Toronto and regain a half-game lead in the division, the Yankees now return home to host the Twins. Tonight in the Bronx they’ll face Kyle Gibson who Brett Gardner has a 3-4 (.750) career mark against with a double, triple, and walk.
