Jordan Spieth had a heck of a season on the links. The 22-year-old Texan won the Masters and United State Open before finishing second in both the Open Championship and the PGA Championship. On Sunday, despite falling by three strokes to the emotional Jason Day, Spieth became the top-ranked golfer in the world.

On Monday, Spieth was installed as the favorite by the Westgate Las Vegas Sportsbook in the 2016 Masters when the tournament comes around in April, according to Darren Rovell of ESPN. Spieth is currently at 5-1, with Rory McIlroy at 6-1 and Day coming in at 10-1 to round out the top three.

Then there is Tiger Woods, who somehow remains at 25-1. Woods has been nothing but absolutely terrible in majors in recent years. This year, Woods was laughably bad at times, missing the cuts badly at the U.S. and British Opens. Still, people will bet on the name recognition. Per Rovell:

"“With eight months to rest, we expect action to pick up on Tiger,” said Jeff Sherman, assistant manager of the race and sportsbook, as well as golf oddsmaker."

Right now, it is hard to say anybody else belongs in the top three. Spieth is without question the best in the world, while McIlroy is a stud and Day is coming into his own at 27 years old. Now that Day has a major championship under his belt, there is no telling what heights his career could reach. There are some other intriguing players as well, including Rickie Fowler and Bubba Watson, with Watson already having won the Masters.

Watson is at 15-1 along with Dustin Johnson, who takes the mantle of best young player not to win a major. Fowler is in the 25-1 club with Adam Scott and Justin Rose. Those odds seem about right for a trio of guys who are always in the mix on the weekend.
