FanDuel Picks For August 19

More from DFS

Welcome back to the best place to get fantasy sports advice across multiple sports. Today I am going to give you my best picks and choices for your FanDuel lineups that I can. My advice is based purely on mathematical and statistical analysis and I try to avoid using player biases and so forth.

NOTE: these FanDuel picks are based solely on statistics. Some players have never faced their opponents, or have very little experience against them. I am not saying that none of those are good picks. This is based on statistical analysis only. If you have a gut feeling, then by all means, follow that. This is not an exact science.

Here are my FanDuel picks for August 19:

Next: FanDuel Pitcher Options

Aug 7, 2015; Detroit, MI, USA; Boston Red Sox starting pitcher Joe Kelly (56) pitches in the first inning against the Detroit Tigers at Comerica Park. Mandatory Credit: Rick Osentoski-USA TODAY Sports

Pitcher Options:

Jaime Garcia, Cardinals ($8,500): Jaime Garcia is always a good option when he is on the mound. He I feel will be a particularly good option for the game on the 19th. His last two games have been pretty good fantasy starts for him where he has scored over 16 fantasy points a game.

Joe Kelly, Red Sox ($6,200): Kelly has been pitching pretty well and makes for a pretty good gamble for the 19th. Kelly has won his last three starts and had over six strikeouts in each game. He seems to really be pretty confident right now and hitting his stride. For the price tag that he comes with it is hard to find a much better option to use.

Next: FanDuel Infield Hitter Options

Aug 7, 2015; Milwaukee, WI, USA; St. Louis Cardinals third baseman Matt Carpenter (13) hits a double to drive in a run in the sixth inning as Milwaukee Brewers catcher Jonathan Lucroy (20) watches at Miller Park. Mandatory Credit: Benny Sieu-USA TODAY Sports

  • Matt Carpenter, Cardinals ($3,800): Matt Carpenter has been one of the hotter infielders in baseball lately. He has a pretty remarkable 7/10 mark against Matt Cain who has failed to make it five innings in his last two starts. while surrendering five RBI in each game. Carpenter has also tallied five RBI against Cain.

DJ LeMahieu, Rockies ($3,700): LeMahieu is swinging the bat and playing well right now. He also has a decent BVP stat against Stephen Strasburg. He has gone 4/12 with a home run, two RBI and a stolen base. He also has the benefit and comforts of playing in the friendly confines of Coors Field.

    Next: FanDuel Outfield Hitter Options

Aug 14, 2015; New York City, NY, USA; New York Mets left fielder Yoenis Cespedes (52) hits a solo home run against the Pittsburgh Pirates during the sixth inning at Citi Field. Mandatory Credit: Brad Penner-USA TODAY Sports

    Outfield Hitter Options:

David Peralta, Diamondbacks ($3,800): Peralta is a very hot batter right now. He has been swinging the bat very well and should continue to do so and make for a good daily fantasy league option while he is hot. He is certainly worth a shot for tomorrow and is actually a decent price compared to how he is swinging the bat.

Yoenis Cespedes, Mets ($3,700): Yoenis Cespedes has been a pretty hot batter as well lately and has a decent match-up for the 19th. He faces off with Ubaldo Jimenez and owns a 3/10 career mark against him with one home run and three RBI. Cespedes has been playing pretty well and should make for a solid option in fantasy leagues on the 19th.

As always we thank you for stopping by and wish you FanDuelers the best of luck!
