Despite a season of highs and lows, the Washington Nationals have what it takes to win it all in 2015.

It’s been an up-and-down season so far for the Washington Nationals, as they currently find themselves chasing the New York Mets — no, that’s not a typo — in the National League East.

The franchise has never won a World Series — neither as the Montreal Expos nor the Nationals — and is hoping that the 2015 campaign can bring different luck.

Let’s face it, this team has a ton of solid pieces that could potentially lead the Nationals to the World Series. Matt Williams has been a solid manager for the ball club over the past two years and he could be the first skipper to lead the Nationals to two consecutive playoff appearances — the organization had just two total before he took over in 2014.

Williams could also help lead this team to its first back-t0-back division titles in its history. All of that is still far from happening, as the season still has more than a month’s worth of games.

How can this team realistically win the World Series? There is just too much depth and talent on this roster to let some little slumps deter it from reaching the October Classic.

Is this the year the Nationals finally come out of the National League and ditch the “overrated” tag to play for a title?
