6. Oakland Athletics

The Oakland Athletics are another squad who has mainly kept what its had, but has made some smart changes over the years.

At home, A’s pitchers have the option to go with the all-white look with “Athletics” across the front in green. Or they can choose the recently recouped gold tops with “A’s” on the left part of the chest, or the green version with the same.

The road grays have remained the same ,with “Oakland” spread across the front in the Athletics’ version of handwriting. Pitchers can also wear the green tops.

The all green hats on the road is a nice change-up for them. But wearing the green with yellow bill batting helmets on the road was a sneaky and subtle way to get back to yesteryear. They brought these back on the road a few short years ago.

Though the A’s haven’t been as good this year as the past couple, they still look as good as anyone when they step on the field. They cannot blame their terrible record in one-run games on the way they look.

It is also possible the team, known for playing “moneyball” uses the multiple uniform combinations to add potential revenue in their never-ending fight to not lose money on baseball operations.
