Robert Griffin III injured in preseason game vs Lions
By Jack Crosby
After what was a pretty rough outing to start, Robert Griffin III was pretty shaken up against the Lions on Thursday
UPDATE: Here’s the hit that led to the injury:
At this time, Griffin is being evaluated for a head injury and a stinger.
The Washington Redskins are taking on the Detroit Lions on Thursday night, and well, to say that Robert Griffin III is having a rough night would be an understatement. In the first quarter of this one, the Redskins’ offensive line was nowhere near good, and this resulted in Griffin being banged around quite a bit.
Well, apparently, enough was finally enough in this one.
Just a short time ago in this preseason contest, Griffin hit the ground once again. Only this time, the players around him had to call for the trainers.
Again, if you missed it at all, so far, this has not been a good night physically for the former Heisman winner, and he’s been beaten like a drum by the Lions.
From some of the reports that we’re seeing at the moment, it appears to be a shoulder injury for Griffin. However, he was able to leave the field under his own power.
We’ll have more updates on Griffin as they become available.
