Jimmy Garoppolo showed off just how elusive that he can be on Saturday night against the Saints in preseason action
As we head into the 2015 NFL season in a few weeks, obviously there are a lot of people wondering just how well Jimmy Garoppolo can fill in for Tom Brady while he’s on suspension. If one play that he made on Saturday night against the New Orleans Saints is any indication, everything is going to be just fine.
Just as the half was coming to a close, and with the Saints holding a commanding 21-0 lead, Garoppolo dropped back and found himself in some trouble. Well, he was able to not only get out of that trouble, but also get the touchdown pass off to Chris Harper.

Although the Patriots didn’t have quite the first half they would have liked to, that was a good way to take it into the locker room in this one.
Garoppolo is entering his second season and he’s been tasked with taking the reins of the Patriots offense with Brady being on suspension for his role in Deflategate. Again, more of this and they’ll be in good shape.
