One of the things that we hate to see the most sometimes is a sore loser. When things aren’t going an athlete’s way, we had to see them pout and whine. Most of the time, we’ll preach about having sportsmanship. Well, no one has more sportsmanship running through their body than this Little League pitcher from Friday night.
As the 2015 Little League World Series is taking place currently, the Midwest team took on the Mid-Atlantic team, and needless to say, things did not go the way of the Midwest team. When all was said and done, in the third inning, the final score was 18-0.
Well, some of those runs for the Mid-Atlantic team came off a grand slam in the third inning off of pitcher Mekhi Garrard. Now being on the mound and giving up a grand slam as your team is getting worked has to leave you sad or angry, right?

Now that right there, kids, is sportsmanship. Yes, he and his team are out there getting it handed to him, but that’s the facial expression of someone just playing a game. We tend to forget, especially when it comes to the Little League World Series, that it’s just a game.
