Charlotte wants to be Ronda Rousey of WWE (Video)
Charlotte wants to be for WWE what Ronda Rousey has been for UFC
Charlotte has been making notable waves on the WWE main roster since she was called up from NXT alongside Sasha Banks and Becky Lynch. As part of the Divas Revolution and as the daughter of the legendary Ric Flair, Charlotte has all the makings of someone who could be the biggest female star in the history of the company.
In fact, that’s exactly what Charlotte is aiming for. She’s made no secret in previous interviews about the fact that she wants to main event Wrestlemania one day. However, she took that a step further when talking to Jonathan Coachman as a part of SportsCenter’s SummerSlam coverage. In an interview, Charlotte went as far as to say that she wants to be to WWE what Ronda Rousey is to UFC:
Considering the importance of Rousey to the UFC brand right now and how MMA fans will buy a pay-per-view to watch a bout that could be over in less than 30 seconds just to see Rousey, those are bold words from Flair’s daughter.
The makings of a superstar are undeniably there with Charlotte, but she’s still only at the beginning of her journey in WWE. Only time (and the WWE creative team) will tell if she’s able to reach the same level of fame and drawing-power that Rousey currently has in UFC.
