With all of the teams in the big tournaments tonight, there are plenty of previous stats to mull over tonight. Letās separate the what from the chaff, so to speak, and see who can win you some money.
NOTE: these picks are based solely on statistics. Some players have never faced their opponents, or have very little experience against them. I am not saying that none of those are good picks. The highest scorer of the day could be someone with no experience against his opponent. This is based on statistical analysis only. If you have a gut feeling, then by all means, follow that. This is not an exact science.

Here are my FanDuel hitter picks for August 25:
Next: Let's Start With The Corner Infielders
Aug 20, 2015; Detroit, MI, USA; Detroit Tigers Miguel Cabrera (24) watches from the dugout during the first inning against the Texas Rangers at Comerica Park. Mandatory Credit: Rick Osentoski-USA TODAY Sports
First Base:
Best Bet:
Miguel Cabrera, Tigers ($5,300): You have to pay a premium to get Miggy, but he is 8 for 26 with four walks, four doubles, a homer, and five RBI in his career against Jered Weaver. He might be worth the extra money.
Honorable Mention:
Joey Votto, Reds ($4,400): Votto comes cheaper and with a small sample size, but he is 2 for 4 off of Alex Wood. He hit a double and a homer and drove in three. Small sample size, sure, but he must see the ball well against Wood.
Stay Away:
Anthony Rizzo, Cubs ($4,500): I wonāt usually do this, but Rizzoās ineptitude against Matt Cain deserves mentioning. He is just 2 for 18 lifetime against Cain with two RBI. You can likely do better if you are willing to spend this kind of money.
Third Base:
Best Bet:
Josh Donaldson, Blue Jays ($6,200): Donaldson is more expensive than six pitchers going tonight. Is he worth it? He is 6 for 18 with two walks, two doubles, two homers, and three RBI against Derek Holland. You make the call.
Honorable Mention:
Chase Headley, Yankees ($2,800): Headley is 3 for 10 in his career against Dallas Keuchel with a double, a homer, and three RBI. You are taking a risk anytime you start a hitter against a pitcher like Keuchel, but this is a solid stat line and the price is right.
Next: Let's Check The Middle Of The Field
Aug 24, 2015; Seattle, WA, USA; Seattle Mariners second baseman Robinson Cano (22) hits an RBI-single against the Oakland Athletics during the third inning at Safeco Field. Mandatory Credit: Joe Nicholson-USA TODAY Sports
Catcher:
Best Bet:
John Jaso, Rays ($2,200): Here is your chance for some great production without spending any money. Jaso is 8 for 21 (.381) in his career off of Ervin Santana with three walks, a double, a homer, and six RBI. He will be used in a lot of lineups with good reason.
Honorable Mention:
Salvador Perez, Royals ($2,400): Perez is 4 for 9 with a homer and two RBI against Miguel Gonzalez. If you feel like bucking the trend, Perez could also provide some good numbers.
Second Base:
Best Bet:
Robinson Cano, Mariners ($3,700): Cano is 7 for 16 lifetime against Jesse Chavez with a walk, a double, and two RBI. There isnāt much for counting stats, but he is practically a lock for positive points.
Honorable Mention:
Ian Kinsler, Tigers ($4,100): Kinsler has faced Jered Weaver a whopping 88 times and has come away with 20 hits and six walks. That is not a great average, but he also has five doubles, three home runs, and 11 RBI. He is a strong bet to get you something for your money tonight.
Shortstop:
Best Bet:
Erick Aybar, Angels ($2,200): The Angels as a whole have not done particularly well against Alfredo Simon, but Aybar has. He is 3 for 6 with a walk, two homers, and three RBI. He could provide a lot of bang for your buck here.
Honorable Mention:
Nick Ahmed, Diamondbacks ($2,200): This is another small sample size, but Ahmed is 1 for 3 against Jaime Garcia. The only hit was a solo home run. If you feel like playing the lottery, Ahmed is at least a cheap ticket.
Next: Who Are The Best Outfielders?
Aug 18, 2015; San Diego, CA, USA; San Diego Padres left fielder Justin Upton (10) doubles during the sixth inning against the Atlanta Braves at Petco Park. Mandatory Credit: Jake Roth-USA TODAY Sports
Outfield:
Best Bets:
Nelson Cruz, Mariners ($5,000): Cruz should be worth every penny tonight. He is 5 for 11 with a double, two homers, and six RBI against Jesse Chavez in his career.
Justin Upton,Ā Padres ($4,000):Ā Upton is 9 for 29 (.310) with two walks, two homers, and five RBI in his career off of Stephen Strasburg. Upton is a strong play in all formats tonight.
Grady Sizemore,Ā Rays ($2,500):Ā Sizemore is 9 for 28 (.321) with five walks, two doubles, two triples, a home run, and three RBI off of Ervin Santana. That makes him a very strong play. Want more of a reason? Ervin Santana has given up 17 earned runs in his last 16 innings pitched. Someone is going to clobber him, and Sizemore has the history.
Honorable Mention:
Austin Jackson,Ā Mariners ($2,500):Ā Jackson is 4 for 12 with a walk, a double, and two RBI against Jesse Chavez. There will be a lot of Mariners on base against Chavez. Batting leadoff in this lineup could be huge tonight.
Chris Young,Ā Yankees ($3,100):Ā Young is 6 for 17 with a walk, two doubles, a triple, and two RBI against Dallas Keuchel in his career. He is likely going to get a start here, and he could come up with a solid point total.
Jarrod Dyson,Ā Royals ($2,700):Ā Dyson is 5 for 6 off of Miguel Gonzalez in his career. His speed is his great asset since all of the hits are singles and he has no counting stats, but he could be worth taking a shot on.
