Lil B The Base God is well known in basketball circles for being a curse master, but could he soon be known as a player too?

When you cross Lil B The Base God, it usually never ends well. Only the Cleveland Cavaliers have been able to escape the clutches of the Lil B curse thanks to Iman Shumpert’s smooth talking, but two of the biggest players in the league are still in his grasp.

Now, one of the worst teams in the NBA is trying to get in on the Lil B hype in a very interesting way.

On Wednesday, the Sixers formally extended an invitation to Lil B to tryout for their D-League team.

Of course, there was no way that the rapper and known voodoo curse legend was going to turn down something like this.

This is both a wise move by the Sixers and one that could probably end up backfiring on them in a big way. For starters, you don’t cross lil B in the world of basketball and get away with it. He has placed curses on Kevin Durant and James Harden and the Sixers have opened themselves way up to the possibility of being cursed by the Base God.

Kevin Durant and James Harden both did nothing but possibly steal a dance that Lil B didn’t even come up with himself. The Sixers are in a position now to truly cross Lil B by cutting him from their team and giving him the most legitimate reason to have a vendetta he’s ever had regarding the NBA.

Then again, there’s the escape clause that it’s just the D-League team — the 86ers — who are the ones cutting Lil B and not the NBA level Sixers. However, Lil B has cursed whoever he wants for whatever he wants in the past and this is a dicey situation the Sixers are opening themselves up to.
