Lil Wayne thinks the Packers will be alright without Jordy Nelson (Video)

The Green Bay Packers will be without Jordy Nelson this season, but Lil Wayne still thinks they’ll be A-OK

Last weekend in the first half of their preseason game with the Pittsburgh Steelers, the Green Bay Packers were dealt a serious blow when wide receiver Jordy Nelson went down with a torn ACL. Maybe the best threat on the outside that the Packers and Aaron Rodgers have, some now believe that their championship hopes they had coming into this season are now on the ropes.

Well, noted Packers fan Lil Wayne is not one of those people.

The rapper appeared on First Take Wednesday morning, and of course the subject of the Packers and Nelson’s injury was brought up. However, while some have been taking the pessimistic route since the injury occurred, Wayne seems to think the offense will be alright, especially since they have Randall Cobb.

“It’s very big,” Lil Wayne said about the loss of Nelson, via ESPN. “Jordy Nelson is phenomenal. But also the next man up is Randall Cobb, so we’ll be all right.”

It’s nice and all that Wayne is seeing things that way, but the fact of the matter is that losing a player that accounted for 1,519 yards receiving and 13 touchdowns will sting a bit, no matter who that next man up is.
