Russell Westbrook couldn’t help but sing along to ‘We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together’ at a Taylor Swift concert
Oklahoma City Thunder point guard Russell Westbrook might be one of the most interesting players in the entire NBA. Westbrook’s idiosyncrasies include his fashion choices, his on-court demeanor, and some of the things he says to the media. We can now add his apparent love for Taylor Swift to that list.
Westbrook was at a Taylor Swift concert on Tuesday night and posted a video of himself singing along to T Swift’s “We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together:”
Maybe he was just lip-syncing the words along with Taylor, but the fact that this happened is quite possibly the best moment of the NBA offseason up to this point. Also, if he was this into that song, I can only imagine how hard he was breaking it down when “Blank Space” was being performed.
If nothing else, you have to respect Westbrook’s ability to stay true to himself and the things he likes with not an ounce of shame in sight. In everything he does, he’s not worried about what anyone—media or not—is going to say or write about him. He’s going to do what he enjoys and what he likes. In such an image-based profession, that’s an admirable trait. Keep loving Taylor Swift and doing you, Russ.
