Baltimore Ravens quarterback Joe Flacco is one of the more polarizing figures in the National Football League. Flacco is one of the best postseason quarterbacks of all-time and has a Super Bowl ring earned in 2012, but his $120 million contract has become a source of ire for a solid-but-not-great regular-season quarterback.

Perhaps his newest commercial with Pepsi will buy him some good will in the city of Baltimore. In the spot, Flacco is attempting to throw a football-viewing party, with people giving him advice how to avoid being lame. Flacco has never been much for flashy quotes and stroylines off the field, making him the perfect pitch man for Pepsi. Per For The Win:

That’s classic stuff. For his part, Flacco plays the role very well, selling that he is a complete failure for his inability to throw any kind of decent party. Yet, the Super Bowl-winner says he has not watched the spot, despite members of his family enjoying his acting skills. From the Ravens’ team website.

"“I’m like the only person [who hasn’t seen it],” Flacco said.“I could have watched it, who knows how long ago. Probably not a week after we made it, my mom sent me the email they sent me, and I’m like, ‘Cool, I’m not watching it.’ But my wife was happy that she got to see it, and all these guys [liked it].”"

Hopefully at some point Flacco gives in and watches the commercial either with his wife, mother or friends. It is definitely worth a few minutes.
