Tigers’ Anthony Gose forgets there’s only two outs, Blue Jays score a run (Video)

Tigers outfielder Anthony Gose had a bit of a mental blunder on Saturday and it cost the team pretty dearly
You know, one of the first things that you’re taught as a baseball player in the field is to always be aware how many outs there are. This is something that is preached to you from the Little League ranks on, which is why it should be something that comes natural for you when you hit the Major League level.
Well, we’re all human, meaning that sometimes we can be a little forgetful. Unfortunately, that happened to Detroit Tigers outfielder Anthony Gose on Saturday afternoon.
The Tigers are taking on the Blue Jays Saturday, and in the bottom of the 4th inning, Josh Donaldson was up to bat for the Jays. Donaldson hit a fly ball to center field, where it was easily caught by Gose. After the catch, Gose was ready to stroll into the dugout now that the inning was over. The only problem was: The inning wasn’t over as there was only two outs, and his little mental lapse allowed Ryan Goins to score.
Again, we’re only human and we make some mistakes from time to time. But, at the Major League level, this really isn’t something that should be taking place.
