4. David Wright-3B-New York Mets: There are a pair of former All-Star 3B in our top four batter vs pitcher matchups for today starting with David Wright. Wright is 15-33 (.455) with four doubles, a home run, and eight RBI against Phillies’ scheduled starter Aaron Harang, so look to get the Mets captain in your lineup if you can tonight.

3. Evan Longoria-3B-Tampa Bay Rays: Another strong consideration at 3B for today is Evan Longoria as he and the Rays visit Baltimore and take on Chris Tillman. Longoria is 16-43 (.372) in his career against Tillman with four doubles, an amazing six home runs, and nine RBI.

2. Salvador Perez-C-Kansas City Royals: One of the hardest fantasy baseball positions to fill each day is behind the plate. Tonight, though, there is a really nice matchup to target as Salvador Perez and the Royals take on Justin Verlander. In his career, Perez is 18-38 (.474) against Verlanderin including an eye-popping seven doubles, two home runs, and 13 RBI.

Jacoby Ellsbury-OF-New York Yankees: With the top four so strong, it takes something special to claim this top spot, and Jacoby Ellsbury has been just that against Red Sox’ starter Rick Porcello in his career. Not only doees he have a high average–11-17 (.647)–but five of those 11 hits have been for extra bases including four homers. Ellsbury is hitting over .300 against his former team this season and is 11-31 this year back at Fenway, so look for him to put up another bit game against his former club tonight.
