John Daly suffered from a collapsed lung this weekend on the golf course, started smoking again on Monday, and rocked out to “Knockin’ On Heaven’s Door” Tuesday night.

John Daly continues to live his life like there’s no tomorrow.  This weekend, Daly suffered from what was called a collapsed lung by the Baptist Medical Center in the suburbs of Jackson, Ms.  This is a result of Daly having to change his grip on his golf clubs after supposedly messing up his hand trying to change a tire on his son’s golf cart.  His hand was noticeably taped during his golf outing this weekend, per Busted Coverage.

The two-time major champion collapsed on the 18th green on Saturday at Deerfield Country Club and had to be rushed to Baptist Medical.  Daly said about the incident, “I was having a great time then suddenly -boom!- I’m falling down on the 18th tee and the next thing I know I’m in an ambulance. It was scary.”

Days after nearly dying on the 18th tee at Deerfield, John Daly was seen smoking his trademark cigarettes on Monday and then on Tuesday night was spotted playing electric guitar and singing along to Bob Dylan’s “Knockin’ on Heaven’s Door”.

The legend of John Daly continues to grow.  The 49-year old major winner nearly died playing golf because an altered grip of the golf clubs collapsed his lung.  This is the same John Daly who won the 1991 PGA Championship and the 1995 Open Championship.  From substance abuse issues to failed marriages to gambling problems, John Daly continues to live his life the way he intends to in reckless abandon.
