The Buffalo Bills’ defense had one of the most insane pick-sixes of all time against the Detroit Lions.

There are some ways to intercept a pass, and then there are some ways to intercept a pass and leave the viewer believing that didn’t just happen.

For the Buffalo Bills, it was a game of mini-golf out on the football field Thursday night as Ron Brooks returned an interception for one of the most absolutely ridiculous pick-sixes in NFL history.

As Dan Orlovsky threw a pass intended for Jeremy Ross, Ross couldn’t quite get his hands on it as Bills cornerback Merrill Noel made a nice defensive play slamming Ross into the ground. However, the ball never hit the ground and bounced straight into the air into the arms of Brooks, who had 81 yards of open field.

The odds of something happening like that again probably aren’t good. Tip interceptions happen all the time, but they don’t usually bounce around off several players and survive a big hit like that.

Not only was the touchdown ridiculous, but it’s also something that probably couldn’t even be done in Madden. That alone should be the barometer for how ridiculous the Bills touchdown really was.

Unfortunately for Orlovsky, he will once again be in the highlight reel of a ridiculous play.
