The first weekend series of September are in full swing in Major League Baseball tonight with 12 of 15 games featuring divisional matchups.  If you’re planning on starting your Labor Day weekend with some fantasy baseball success, check out my top 20 batter vs pitcher matchups on the following slides.

More from Cincinnati Reds

Normally I focus on picking the top ten batter vs pitcher matchups in my daily post available each morning here on Fansided.  However, with so many hitters with long and successful track records, I expanded today’s to include the top 20 batters who have had success against the probable pitcher they are scheduled to face for the day.

These batter vs pitcher matchups are definitely worth targeting as you assemble your lineup for either daily or season-long fantasy baseball leagues. While even the best past results don’t guarantee future success, a hitter’s history against the opposing pitcher is one of the key factors to consider as you put together your lineup. Definitely check team’s final lineups before first pitch tonight since I’m compiling this list before lineups are available.

To help you fill as many roster slots as possible, I try to include a variety of teams and positions as well as a good blend of sleepers and stars in my top batter vs pitcher matchups each day.  Today, with 20 options, I’ve been able to include every position as well as a good mix of some value plays and some more expensive big-name bats.

To keep up with all of Fansided’s fantasy baseball coverage, drop a bookmark at our fantasy baseball hub. If you have any questions about our coverage in general or specifically about your lineup for today, you can find me @FansidedFantasy on Twitter where I’ll be happy to help you out any way that I can.

If you are new to the daily league fantasy baseball league format, one option to consider is FanDuel where you can find daily competitions for each day of the MLB season. You can get there by clicking the link at the end of the post. FanDuel is just one of the many sites you can play daily fantasy baseball on, and each format varies a bit based on scoring and roster structure.

With 20 matchups to get to, let’s jump right in to the best batter vs pitcher matchups for this Friday, September 4.
