Malcom Mitchell made an absolutely silly touchdown catch in Saturday’s game against Louisiana-Monroe.

Georgia put boots to asses in its home opener against Louisiana-Monroe. Quarterback transfer Greyson Lambert had himself a day, Nick Chubb ran like a man possessed (as expected) and senior Malcolm Mitchell put together a solid outing.

Speaking of Mitchell, check out this ridiculous touchdown grab by Mitchell. On third-and-seven, Lambert uncorked a 28-yard pass to the receiver, who was streaking toward the goal line. Thrown to his back shoulder, Mitchell redirected himself and hauled in a beautiful catch for the score.

Mitchell missed the majority of the 2013 season after tearing his ACL against Clemson in the season opener. He also missed the first four games of the 2014 season. Plays such as this are a reminder of the monumental talent that Mitchell possesses when on the field.

On the day, Mitchell notched three receptions for 51 yards and one touchdown. Georgia pounded ULM, 51-14 in a game that was cut short due to weather concerns.
