Sadly, the weekend college football extravaganza has almost come to an end. There are only two games left, one on Sunday and one on Monday. With so few options, the key to winning some cash is likely going to be finding a cheap receiver who will produce at a higher level. Let’s see if we can do just that.

There could be some bargains hiding in here. There is also a chance that a FanDuel flub will allow you to get everyone you want. More on that later.

Here are my FanDuel college football picks for September 6/7:

Next: Should You Spend Big At QB?

Apr 18, 2015; Columbus, OH, USA; Ohio State Buckeyes quarterback J.T. Barrett (16) warms up before the Ohio Spring Game at Ohio Stadium. Mandatory Credit: Greg Bartram-USA TODAY Sports

Quarterback:

Best Bet:

J.T. Barrett, Ohio State ($8,400): The fact that Cardale Jones was hospitalized for migraines earlier this week could mean that he won’t play in the game like Urban Meyer hinted could happen. The Buckeyes have no reason to chance anything. This could mean a much bigger workload for Barrett. Make sure to pay attention to news on this leading up to the game. If Jones and Barrett split time, it makes it hard to use either one.

Honorable Mention:

Michael Birdsong, Marshall ($7,200): Birdsong will take over for Marshall legend Rakeem Cato. That will not be an easy task, but this is a pass-friendly offense against a pretty bad Purdue defense. He is likely a safer option that Purdue’s Austin Appleby. He started the last six games for the Boilermakers, but only topped 250 yards once.

Dark Horse:

Michael Brewer, Virginia Tech ($6,500): Brewer is a big risk against the Ohio State defense. That said, he is a safer option than Appleby, Birdsong is making his first start, and the two headed monster at Ohio State could make either one of them hard to play. If you really want to be safe, you know what you are getting with Brewer. You also know that more than 20 points in unlikely.

My Pick: Birdsong

Next: Spend At RB In This Tournament

Oct 25, 2014; Huntington, WV, USA; Marshall Thundering Herd running back Devon Johnson (47) rushes the ball to score his second touchdown of the game in the second quarter against the Florida Atlantic Owls at Joan C. Edwards Stadium. Marshall defeated Florida Atlantic 35-16. Mandatory Credit: Michael Shroyer-USA TODAY Sports

Running Back:

Best Bet:

Devon Johnson, Marshall ($8,800): Virginia Tech has as solid defense, which puts Johnson at the top for me. He was a playmaker when healthy last year, and he will be the first option for the Herd all game on Sunday. He is the safest pick of the day.

Honorable Mention:

Ezekiel Elliott, Ohio State ($8,200): The Hokie defense is tough, but Elliott doesn’t have anyone really breathing down his neck for carries right now. This game should stay close, meaning the Buckeyes are going to need to lean on Elliott a lot in this game. That leaves him a good option.

Dark Horse:

Keyante Green, Purdue ($6,000): Green now appears to be the starter for Purdue, and Marshall does give up some big plays here and there, but Green is a big risk. Just because opportunities are there doesn’t mean that someone will succeed.

My Picks: Johnson and Elliott

Next: Who Will Be The Most Played Receiver?

Apr 25, 2015; Blacksburg, VA, USA; Virginia Tech Hokies wide receiver Isaiah Ford (1) looks on during the Orange Maroon spring game at Lane Stadium. Mandatory Credit: Michael Shroyer-USA TODAY Sports

Wide Receiver:

Best Bets:

Isaiah Ford, Virginia Tech ($620): No, that is not a typo. My guess is it was on FanDuel’s part, and it is likely that a lot of you missed it if you didn’t scroll all the way down. Those in the know will use Ford just so you can play whoever you want. If you can field a team you like without using Ford, you will be one of the very few not playing him, but that is what could win you money. Of course, it could blow up in your face since Ford is the number one option for the Hokies.

Davonte Allen, Marshall ($7,000): Allen will be the guy that helps Birdsong get acclimated to the Marshall offense. He was a favorite target of Cato, and should be for Birdsong as well.

Honorable Mention:

Michael Thomas, Ohio State ($6,500): Thomas will be the focal point of Ohio State’s passing game this year, but how much will they actually throw? It could depend on who is in the game at quarterback as well. There is also a chance that Braxton Miller, who is a freakish athlete, could emerge as the number one receiver. Thomas is a bit of a risk, but he could provide a big reward too.

Deon-Tay McManus, Marshall ($6,500): There will likely be plenty of balls to go around for the Herd. McManus stepped up late last year, even with two guys in front of him. Now he should be on the field a lot more, and there is a chance that Birdsong could click with him more.

Dark Horse:

Braxton Miller, Ohio State ($6,000): Miller is a bit of a risk, but you know that he knows the playbook better than anyone else at his position, and he is a great athlete. I wouldn’t be surprised if the Buckeyes use Miller out of the backfield as well. He could get you points in so many different ways. That makes him an intriguing play.

My Picks: Ford, Allen, Thomas

Next: Who Is The Best TE?

Nov 28, 2014; Blacksburg, VA, USA; Virginia Tech Hokies tight end Bucky Hodges (7) reacts late in the fourth quarter. The Hokies defeated the Virginia Cavaliers 24-20 at Lane Stadium. Mandatory Credit: Bob Donnan-USA TODAY Sports

Tight End:

Best Bet:

Bucky Hodges, Virginia Tech ($3,300): Hodges was a force as a freshman last year in the Hokie offense, and will be a popular target for Michael Brewer when the Buckeyes get into the backfield. That could be quite often. Hodges is a great option in this tournament.

Honorable Mention:

Kamen Reynolds, Marshall ($3,000): A quarterback making his first start is going to be eyeing his tight end often. Just saying….

Dark Horse:

Nick Vannett, Ohio State ($2,200): Vannett could come up big for the Buckeyes if no one steps up at WR after Thomas. J.T. Barrett also likes to spread the ball, so the chances of Vannett getting shut out are practically zero.

My Pick: Hodges

Good luck to you all!
